Bug Description

Some symbol fonts, like the fonts come with Conky Colors (http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/CONKY-colors?content=92328), are rendered as square boxes.

Bug still exists in Ubuntu 13.04.
Bug not exist in KDE.

I tested with ftview and it showed normally. So this bug is not of FreeType.
