Bug Description
When compiz is window manager, xfce4 panel covers mythtv video playback. I have tested with metacity and the problem does not occur there. Gnome panel / unity etc do not cover mythtv either, when using compiz. (they used to, but it appears to have been fixed.)
Most likely xfce4-panel is not setting some WM hint which is needed for compiz to know that fullscreen windows should cover it.

I noticed that some other stuff is covering mythtv, such as notifications (I use Ubuntu notification stack under XFCE because it looks nicer). So this might not be specific to xfce4-panel, in which case it is compiz. But I'm not sure why the same notifications don't cover mythtv under gnome classic session.
