Bug Description

Binary package hint: xen-utils-3.2

There is a mandatory access control module for Xen called sHype (http://www.research.ibm.com/secure_systems_department/projects/hypervisor/) there should be a way to enable this in Xen without having to rebuild from source. Currently to enable sHype when building from source there are two options in Config.mk that need changed
ACM_SECURITY and XSM_ENABLE should be enabled (set to y)
If we can allow this, then sHype enabled package should also depend on python-wxgtk2.8 (or some other version) for the policy creation tool.

Version: hardy
PkgVersion: 3.2.0-0ubuntu10
Expected to happen: Creation of a new package that supports sHype
What happened: Had to rebuild packages from source to get sHype enabled Xen

Do any distros ship with sHype on by default? (Fedora for example?)

I wonder if debian would also be interested in providing a sHype-enabled version? Then ubuntu could just pull this from upstream.

I suggest finding out the answers to the questions above and getting the discussions going.

If the above fall through, maybe somebody would be willing to host a PPA on launchpad with sHype-enabled packages....
