Bug Description

Binary package hint: xdg-utils

> pkg_info -W xdg-mime
/usr/local/bin/xdg-mime was installed by package xdg-utils-1.0.2_5
> xdg-mime query default image/png
(empty)

Basically defaults.list doesn't exists, but mime image/png is associated with wine in following files:
> ls /usr/home/kenorb/.local/share/applications
mimeapps.list userapp-gvim-UNYALV.desktop wine-extension-htm.desktop wine-extension-jpeg.desktop wine-extension-txt.desktop
mimeinfo.cache wine wine-extension-html.desktop wine-extension-jpg.desktop wine-extension-wri.desktop
userapp-eog-1WCKLV.desktop wine-extension-chm.desktop wine-extension-ini.desktop wine-extension-png.desktop wine-extension-xml.desktop

Having the same issue with application/x-cd-image
Even though it has been assigned to /usr/share/applications/kde4/k3b.desktop but xdg-mime fails to report it

Tested on Ubuntu 12.04, it returns gwenview.desktop now.

$ xdg-mime query default image/png
gwenview.desktop
