Bug Description
Binary package hint: xchat
It would be very great if one could setup different languages for the tabs (or channels) you use.
Since most channels use a language consistently, it would also nice if xchat remembered what language has been used on a channel.
Bug 354542 asks for the basic capability to change the spell checker language; as such, this bug is a special case.
