xchat-gnome doesn't connect to protected channels

Hello!

Versions of software:
Ubuntu 8.10
IRC-server is hybrid-7.1.2
XChat-GNOME 0.24.1

When I am connecting to our IRC-server xchat only connects to first protected channel in the list. I see messages like this:

 Cannot join #CHIEFIT (Requires keyword).

The list of my channels (from servlist_.conf):
J=#sysop,#chiefit,#audit-RIT,#ldap,#lotus,#voip,#cisco,#linux key1,key2,key3

Edit->Preferences->Networks->choose my network->Edit->"Users and Channels" tab of "Network Properties"->"Automatically Join Channels" List.
This list has a field for a channel's key.

the issue seems to be an upstream one and should be sent to bugzilla.gnome.org
