Bug Description
Description: Ubuntu 11.10
Release: 11.10
Package: x11vnc 0.9.12-1build1
After upgrading to 11.10 there is a strange bug/problem in running x11vnc VNC session. CTRL keyboard sticks after changing keyboard layout with ctrl+shift (from US to RU for example). This ctrl "stickness" persists even for X session on the machine with the vnc server. Second ctrl press revokes a "sticking". Here is a start command for x11vnc (with keyboard debug):
x11vnc -debug_keyboard -xkb -repeat -scale 4/5 -bg -speeds dsl -nolookup -ncache 0 -solid -display :0 -many
-rfbauth ~/.vnc/passwd -desktop "VNC ${USER}
Tried with different vnc clients and have the same issue.
Attached is x11vnc log for the following key sequence pressed:
"crtl+shift", "a", "s", "d", "f", ctrl, "a", "s", "d", "f"
