Hi there,
I have posted my problem already on launchpad, I don't know if it is necessary, but I copy my entry here.

The install of ACDsee Pro 2.5 went well but after I copied all needed .dll files, the application still doesn't start (err:ole:CoUninitialize Mismatched CoUninitialize).
Here is the output from the console from the beginning of the install.

This won't work with this program. To start it you have to run:
cd ~
wine start ACDSeePro25.exe

It fails in the same way on windows when run from cmd.

The problem seems to be Wine can't generate "new style" links, which start program in the new way. This applies to number of applications.

You missed the first step:

i have a similar problem starting ACDSee Pro 2.5 in Wine, it just does not start.
It is part of the Wine menu but does not run. When it was installed there were 2 or 3 errors.
I am new to Ubuntu so I am not sure what can be done here to get my application running smoothly. Thanks

Hi,

Indeed, I installed Virtualbox with Windows xp in Linux to be able to
use ACDSEE and NX Captures.
It seems that wine cannot launch and/or run these two programs.
It will be necessary to wait for the new version of wine

leighman, thank you very much for contributing to this post. I did notice the upstream bug. As we and Launchpad are two sides of the same coin, we all flip together and both the reporter and us have a responsibility to work this out. A polite inquiry to the reporter after 7 months of no posting is not something to ridicule over ;) We should work together with our WINE Maintainer Scott Richie on a WINE1.3.2 (dev wine) PPA.

quentin, thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. Lucid Desktop reached EOL on May 9, 2013.
See this document for currently supported Ubuntu releases: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases

Is this an issue in a supported release? If so, could you please execute the following command, as it will automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal:
apport-collect 194271

Also, is this reproducible with the latest WINE via https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-wine/+archive/ubuntu/ppa ?

As well, could you please provide a direct URL to the acdsee pro 2 install (not 2.5, 6, or any other version variant)?
