Bug Description
After upgrading to 11.11, wicd does not use the DNS domain IP address set in the network properties.
If the IP is saved as "nameserver nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn" in /etc/resolv.conf, DNS lookup works until a reboot.
Wicd replaces "network Manager" which does not work in Ideapad S12 (intel atom).

This may be an ubuntu online upgrade error.
The network manager (which does not work on this computer) was installed even though wicd was installed and network manager was not.
I deleted network manager using synaptic, and now the resolv.conf is not overwritten at boot. This means the resolv.conf work·around now survives a reboot.
wicd however does not properly specifiy the nameserver IP address with network manager uninstalled so that issue is still alive.
