Bug Description
wesnoth-1.8 1:1.8.6-1, Ubuntu Ocelot
1. Go to the "Battle for Wesnoth" screen in Ubuntu Software Center. http://
What you see:
* The description of the game begins: "This package depends on the complete set of packages built from the wesnoth source package but the server (which can be found in the wesnoth-1.8-server package), most helpful if you always want to have all the official campaigns installed. If you only want to play over the network with other players or want to play only a few campaigns you just need to install the wesnoth-1.8-core package and the wanted campaign packages."
* There is no obvious way to choose whether to install the server, or to choose which campaigns to install.
What you should see:
a. "Server for hosting Battle for Wesnoth multi-player" appears as a checkbox in the "Add-ons" section, unselected by default.
b. Each of the official campaigns appears as a checkbox in the "Add-ons" section, selected by default.
c. The description concentrates on describing the game, without mentioning package names.
How this could be implemented:
a. Set wesnoth-1.8 as Suggests: wesnoth-1.8-server.
b. Move the official campaign packages from Depends: to Recommends:
c. Remove the first paragraph from the wesnoth-1.8 description.
