Cannot integrate webapps

Most of the listed webapp sites aren't working for me.
Some give the notification that they want to integrate into unity (lastfm gmail, grooveshark and a few other). Upon clicking install, I get a password prompt to install but nothing happens. No icon is added to the launcher and nothing is integrated but they are listed as installed in synaptic.

Some give the notification and do appear to install (BBC News, OMGubuntu!), they add an icon to the launcher but after closing firefox, the launcher icon disappears and intermittently returns.

The rest give no notification offering integration at all (Youtube, facebook, google calendar).

I have tested on a fully updated beta 1 install which has been used daily and on a fresh beta 2 install with identical results.
I have also tested on chromium installed from the default repo, again with identical results.
