Bug Description

Binary package hint: vlc

Sound in VLC stutters (there is a short break every few seconds), even though the app takes only up to 20% CPU (which seems too high, as I have fast Core2 Duo P8600, but it shouldn't cause this problem). It makes this program unusable.

Make sure that you're using the pulse output for VLC.

Thank You, when I switched from "Default" to pulse it now works. Shouldn't the default option point to pulse (at least at the moment it's already installed)? This is not intuitive to inexperienced user that they have to switch audio output...
