VLC freezes when playing the next video

Bug Description
If I open VLC to play any local video and skipping time to the end of it to start the next video the video freezes, but the audio continues.

I can't exit full screen mode with pressing ESC and the only solution is to kill the VLC process shown by ps aux | vlc and then kill -9 <pid>.
This issue can be reproduced all the time.
