Bug Description
I have a Lenovo Thinkpad Twist convertible ultrabook. The tablet mode (touchscreen-only operation, keyboard folded away) get continuously working better.
Now I have hit a problem with vlc. When I am playing a video full-screen it is not easy to control it (or to leave full-screen) via the touch screen. Tapping reveals the control interface but the interface does not stay visible long enough for finding the desired button and tapping it. The interface should stay longer, like in Totem for example. I did not find any configuration option to make the interface stay longer. The fix would be easy, probably somewhere only one number needs to be changed.
It would be also more touch friendly if one could make play list entries play by a single clcik on the entry or at least by a single click on the preview image on the lower left of the play list window.

I think the VLC UI developers are more focused on Android (and proprietary OSes) than Ubuntu for touch devices. Without new volunteers or help from Ubuntu community or Canonical, I doubt this bug will get much traction upstream.
