Bug Description
As described in the title, I had Virtualbox open and running a VM at the moment Ubuntu's software updater attempted to update a Vbox component. Instead of gracefully failing with a message indicating that VBox needs to be shutdown before installing OR prompting to shutdown VBox before continuing, it resulted in a crash of the installer, which triggered the Ubuntu installer to catch the failure and guide me to filling out this bug report.
