after update, clicking trash icon brings up remote desktop

In unity. clicking on the trashcan brings up "remote desktop viewer" (vinagre) with a dialog box "an error occurred"

for some reason, the .local/share/mimeapps.lst was borked.

deleted it now & will restart.

deleted the above file. can now open up trash - nautilus appears. fixed without restart.
