Bug Description

Binary package hint: uswsusp

When running s2both, the machine turns off after syncing the snapshot to disk, rather than going into S3 suspend. s2ram works, so I'm pretty confident this isn't an issue with my machine not being supported.

Confirmed. Same issue for me, s2ram works fine, however s2disk powers off the machine rather than entering S3

Also confirmed on hardy on a Santa Rosa based Asus laptop. s2both in gutsy worked fine (apart from overall flaky hibernation).

s2ram added back into uswsusp works fine both on gutsy and on hardy. s2both fails (shuts the machine down) when the S2RAM_SNAPSHOT ioctl returns an error. Sorry for not being specific but it's kinda hard to strace during suspend :)

As uswsusp is apparently identical between gutsy and hardy, I guess it's rather related to the kernel.
