usb-modeswitch crashes

Bug Description

I have telewell 3G HSPA+ USB modem. When I plug the modem to laptop the usb-modeswitch crashes, log shows:

usb_modeswitch_[3063]: segfault at 8 ip 00007fd588d6fc51 sp 00007fffb0386c18 error 4 in libc-2.17.so[7fd588ce6000+1be000]

The telewell modem works with ubuntu 12.04, but not with 12.10 or 13.04 (beta).

Can you boot the laptop with the modem already plugged in? If so please paste the output here of the lsusb command when the modem is plugged in.
