Bug Description
This bug is filed mostly for tracking purposes...
As discussed at UDS, upstart will soon support inotify watching of a directory.
I will depend on this functionality in the update-motd package. I'm filing this bug here in the hopes that I'll be notified when this functionality lands in Ubuntu.
Cheers,
:-Dustin

For sanity's sake, I'm closing the Ubuntu tasks for upstream Upstart bugs. I've experimented with having both, but it is just making bugs hard to find now. Will use the policy whereby bugs on the Ubuntu package exist in the Ubuntu packaging or patches only, any bugs in the Upstart code are Upstream bugs.
