This report is an addition to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/upstart/+bug/1255610 and was created by performing

sudo kill -ABRT $(pidof initctl)

as indicated by James Hunt in #2 of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/upstart/+bug/1255610.
