Bug Description
Almost all text areas in Ubuntu apart from in the Dash respect the gconf setting /desktop/
Those of us who don't like to move off the home keys would really, really appreciate it if this worked in the dash. It's great that I can summon it by tapping Super and start typing, but then having to shift around with the arrows spoils it. We keyboard heads love launching apps from the keyboard with minimal effort, e.g. with Gnome-Do.

James Ferguson, I couldn't get this working at all. Is this setting working in your unity install on 10.10?
