Lightdm rotates screen ok but rendering is done with old geometry

Bug Description

After upgrade, lightdm gets its screen info ok from the gnome-settings-daemon but display an wrong sized picture.
The width and height of the screen are not correct.
I have a 1920x1200 screen in portrait mode (which should be 1200x1920). The greeter displays a welcome screen which is 1920pixel wide and 1200 pixel high make the button for shutting down and reboot invisible and leaving garbage at the bottom of the screen.
I'm joining a picture of the desktop taken with my camera to show you.

thank you for your bug report, you say it's due to gnome-settings-daemon? Does it do the same in the user session?

I don't know. I filled a first bug for lightdm since it was unable to honor the rotation information.
I was answered that it was related to gnome-settings-daemon that was not supported by the greeter.

Now the greeter works ok (the screen is in the correct orientation) but the greeter seems to think that the length and the height are the one of the screen instead of the new rotated (length and heigth are swapped).

I don't know if I'm clear enough.
