newish addition to the bug:
I tried running a virtual machine through virtual box. The virtual OS is Fedora, and when I tried to start the machine I got the udev kill it message, and then got kicked into the root terminal for the virtual appliance. I don't know how or if I can get to the GUI from there. I have attached a screenshot
