Bug Description
The login sound in Ubuntu is very annoying due to being excessively long, it is 7 seconds of aural dreadfulness!
... and you have to listen to this every single frigging day, and every single time you boot, reboot, login, switch user, relogin, etc!

Sweet, Ubuntu 12.04 will have the login sound disabled by default!

The current situation with the 7 second login sound is absolutely dreadful!
I am not entirely opposed to a login sound though, one that is one second or less would be alright.
