Binary package hint: xubuntu-restricted-extras

X-r-e currently installs PulseAudio in Karmic while it shouldn't install any PA-related package.

I'm stating that x-r-e depends on PA, which is the title of the bug. Nonely that it should depend on it.

Are you saying that x-r-e depends on PA, and should not?

Or that x-r-e does not depend on PA, and should?

I can confirm this bug on my Xubuntu Jaunty x64. Whenever I tried to install xubuntu-restricted-extras Synaptic always asked me to install PulseAudio along with it.

I checked the dependency and found that PulseAudio is not on the dependency list, yet Synaptic wants to install it.

I don't want to install PulseAudio. It is not friendly to me.
