Bug Description
I got a KDE notification that the new version of Kubuntu is available, so I began the graphical release upgrade from Kubuntu 13.04 to 13.10. During the "Setting new software channels" step, a Package Changes dialog appeared, warning
"16 packages are gong to be removed. ..."
As in previous releases, I want to make a list of these packages. But (same as far back as I can remember), you can't copy from this dialog. The text of this paragraph of information is not selectable. The [Details >>>] button reveals a bunch of
Remove kdepimlibs5
Remove ktouchpadenabler
etc. You can click in here and it selects one line, but there's no copy function and you can't select more than one line.
The process running is
/usr/bin/python /tmp/ubuntu-
Please use a different dialog to present this information, one with select and copy functionality.
The workaround is to figure out where the upgrade writes out its log(s), but there's no indication of that, even if you click [Details>>>] (a separate bug). Or (shudder), retype what you see in this dialog.
My years of Kubuntu upgrades have proceeded remarkably smoothly thanks to all your hard work, but it would be nice to see the upgrader polished. Thanks.
