dl-ubuntu-test-iso just displays distro_info is bustimacated and does nothing else

not sure if this belongs here, since it's a snap install, but i've been redirected here from https://snapcraft.io/dl-ubuntu-test-iso as this is the dev site.

I installed with sudo snap install dl-ubuntu-test-iso
 and then did dl-ubuntu-test-iso --help , without help, with --flavor=ubuntu --variant=desktop --arch=amd64 --release=focal --build=pending --isoroot=~/Downloads/
 and all it ever outputs is distro_info is bustimacated

I'm on 18.04.4 64bit and below is the output of the snap info command
