OSK is uncomfortably huge in a tablet in landscape mode

Bug Description

When using the BQ M10 tablet in landscape mode, the virtual keyboard stretches from one side of the screen to the other; this makes it quite uncomfortable to use because of the distance one's finger needs to travel (especially when using one single finger to type).
Also the height of the keys could be reduced (just leave them as they are on the phone) as they look quite huge compared to the rest of the UI and take up a lot of real estate on screen.

The OSK does not allow due to its high to use Dekko in landscape mode to answer aan email.

It sounds like due to differing usage patterns any solution to this should be made optional

My Sony Z1 tablet had a small key that would shrink the keyboard in portrait - it toggled left, right, and a sort of split with a gap in the middle. That was /cool/

One option is to make the keyboard a floating window rather than docked at the bottom, like windows 10. however this needs UX review and a UX designer needs to be assigned.
