Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubuntu-dev-tools
I'm trying to use requestsync on a package which has been available in Debian for ~3 days. Tool requestsync however, checks the package from packages.debian.org which is updated by a batch process, and no one seems to have an idea just about how often that site is updated. Would modifying the tool to check the actual situation be possible?

requestsync either uses "rmadison" to query the package versions in Debian or Ubuntu or queries LP about those versions if '--lp' is specified. But in both cases it needs http:// packages. debian. org/changelogs/ to fetch the new changelog entries as required by our current processes (see https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/SyncRequest Process# Content% 20of%20a% 20sync% 20request). So you need to wait till those get updated (unless you know an other easy way to get those new entries).
