Bug Description
I tried to install Ubuntu by using a bootable USB key. At first, ubiquity hung shortly after detecting my webcam and presenting me with the user avatar selection screen.
The message that appeared was something like: a critical error has occured, you will be presented a desktop session to resolve the problem. Apport did not appear at this point.
From this desktop session I relaunched ubiquity. This time it hung straight away, presenting an Apport bug tracing screen. I unfortunately cannot tell you anything else about this error because Apport terminated and thus I was not presented with a log.
At my third try an error occured at the same pont as the first time, with the slight difference that Ubiquity simply terminated (the window diesappeared) without calling any error handling routine.
At my fourth try it succeeded.... I'm using an ASUS X52s Laptop with a built-in webcam.
