Binary package hint: ubiquity
RELEASE: Natty Narwhal Beta2 candidate
CD/DVD VARIANT: 32bit and 64bit Ubuntu desktop cd
ISO BUILD: 20110412
SYMPTOMS: An error appears at the end of the installation, "Error copying network configuration". Clicking OK allows the Installation Complete/Restart window to appear.
The full error text is:
An error occurred while copying the network settings. The installation will continue, but the network configuration will have to be set up again in the installed system.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. install Ubuntu using the desktop cd.
2. Observe the installation proceeds almost to completion.
3. Notice you must click on OK on the error message
4. When the system is restarted, network configuration does NOT have to be set up.
5. This appears to be a mistake that the warning is displayed.
