Bug Description
Binary package hint: software-center
I installed Maverick alpha 1 today. And I have history in Software Center from yesterday.
The programs that it says were installed yesterday seem to be the packages installed by default.

Looks like /var/log/ apt/history. log is being copied from livecd and it contains entries for the time when image was created. I don't think this is SC bug, this file should be shipped empty of at new empty one shall be created on the target system.
