Bug Description
In the reinstall, I selected 'manual' for disk setup, set /dev/sda7 to format as ext4 at /, then selected /dev/sda8 to be set as /home/ with ext4 type. After returning to the partition layout screen I decided I should wipe what is in the /home partition in case something there is causing the grub problem. At the point I clicked on the 'format' check box the system crashed and requested I file a bug report.
No syslog or partman files can be seen in /var/log/installer/
