Installing ubuntu 18.04 on intel professional sddssdsc2kb480g701 - partman crashed

on thinkpad edge e330

with 8GB RAM

i use ubuntu for many years.

This is strange. It almost looks like somehow ubiquity thinks it is switching to the partman page twice, and launching two competing instances of partman:
