curl error message when running Twidge

Binary package hint: twidge

Twidge gives command-line access to Twitter. I'm running Ubuntu Server 8.04.1 (i386) and the latest version of Twidge (twidge_0.99.4_i386.deb) as of Aug 25, 2009. The installation and setup of Twidge went ok. But I get an error message when I try to do a simple Twidge function, such as:

Twidge update "send this message"

The error message is:

curl: /usr/lib/libidn.so.11: no version information available (required by /usr/lib/libcurl.so.4)

I tried to fix this from root with 'apt-get install curl', but it said I have the latest version of curl.

How should I fix this ?
