torus trooper crashes when game-mode starts

Bug Description
Binary package hint: torus-trooper
program boots up alright but when you try to start a new game, it crashes. When I run from a terminal i get the following output:

For me, (Intrepid), the game starts, but crashes soon after. Same with val-and-rick.
Could be related to some libraries?
Using an Intel graphics chip in my laptop.
