Bug Description
Binary package hint: thunderbird
I put a folder in thread view by going to View->Threads-
It turns out that the way to do this is in a different option, Sort By. Sort By is already fairly long, so a much more intuitive place for threaded/unthreaded option would be in the threads submenu.

I put a folder in thread view by going to View->Threads- >Unread, however I was unable to figure out how to go back to normal. I ultimately had to google the answer, and found many forum posts from users with similar issues (eg http:// www.linuxquesti ons.org/ questions/ linux-desktop- 74/how- to-turn- off-threads- view-in- thunderbird- inbox.- 477859/)
It turns out that the way to do this is in a different option, Sort By. Sort By is already fairly long, so a much more intuitive place for threaded/unthreaded option would be in the threads submenu, right where the initial change was caused.
There are two options here: Unthreaded" options to the Threads submenu, either at the top or the bottom >Unthreaded" option to the list alongside All, Unread, and so on.
- Simply move "Sort by->Threaded/
- Consolidate a bit and add a "Threads-
I would advise the second option, as it reduces the amount of interaction required when switching between unthreaded and threaded view as the user can just jump right where he wants to go.
Thank you muchly :)
Reproducible: Always
