package tex-common 3.15 failed to install/upgrade: ErrorMessage: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

This happened after I upgraded to 13.10 from 13.04 with do-release-upgrade.

After that I ran sudo apt-get install -f, and it installed the text-* packages with a the same warning for each of the packages saying:

Warning: Old configuration style found in /etc/texmf/updmap.d

Warning: but expect inconsistencies.
Warning: These packages should be rebuild with tex-common.

Now I'm running sudo apt-get dist-upgrade to finish the installation.
