Bug Description
Binary package hint: testdisk
PhotoRec is packaged as part of Testdisk. Even if packaged in the same source tarball, they provide very different functionalities: partition recovery vs image files recovery. Could it be moved to a separate package?
The split requires no -common package: http://
/usr/sbin/photorec
/usr/sbin/testdisk
/usr/share/
/usr/share/
/usr/share/
It could be split to
testdisk:
/usr/sbin/testdisk
/usr/share/
photorec:
/usr/sbin/photorec
/usr/share/
There is already a separate bug request for an additional -doc package.

In testdisk 7.0 developers added GUI tool - QPhotoRec and because of this Testdisk package must be split at least in 3 binary packages: PhotoRec, QPhotoRec and Testdisk cgsecurity. org/wiki/ TestDisk_ 7.0_Release# PhotoRec_ .26_QPhotoRec for more info
QPhotoRec is a Graphical User Interface (Qt based GUI) version of PhotoRec. More user friendly, it recognizes the same file formats.
