Bug Description
server settings not updated to reflect shared option in the printer
ie: I have a brother printer
I select system>
this works all well and good and is intuitive however, it is necessary to go to
system>
in order to actually be able to connect to the shared printer
this seams odd that if I share a folder it check that all components are ok to share the folder ie: installs nfs/ samba whatever it does to support the share. then here it is not really giving any info to the the user
as an aside the client computer doesn't seem to give much info either "print share inaccessible" is about the best i could get out of it.
I am by no means a guru so i struggled with this for 2 hrs and finally found the setting in there
anywho thanks for the time
and great software!!
Thank you for reporting this bug. I'm accepting it as a paper cut since this issue most certainly influences the usability of the printer configuration tool.
However, I think that some discussion is needed before this bug can be fixed, so I'm setting the status in the paper cuts project to Confirmed.
