Bug Description
Weird issue. With Synergy server running on ubuntu 11.10, you cannot leave your server's screens to neighboring machine unless there is a window (ex firefox) opened at the area which you are going to transition to the other machine's screen or you go across on the toolbar. So if you have no windows open and desktop is visible, you cannot leave your screen from its edges. Exact configuration file works fine in 11.04. ATI FGLRX drivers, dual monitor. Seems to have the same problem without fglrx driver as well. I've also tried version 1.3.6 and the latest beta version of synergy (1.4.2) no difference.

To add confirmation:
Synergy (server) working fine on 11.04.
Upgrade to 11.10:
Client shows still connected.
Can't move mouse to server.
As described, putting window on edge of screen lets cursor move to client. (tx for the info).
Basic Intel Atom machine, single monitor.
