Bug Description
Shortly after upgrading Ubuntu from 17.04 to 17.10, Synaptic stopped working, with "Segmentation Fault" on start.
Both the symptoms and the workaround are the same as in https:/
This works:
sudo synaptic --display=:0
As it does appending ` --display=:0` to the end of `Exec=synaptic-
$ ls -l /tmp/.X11-unix
