Bug Description
I'm experiencing java-problems with my firefox: the java-based functions in firefox aren't working properly anymore for an unknown reason to me. I already tried reinstalling every firefox-package I could find in the Synaptic Package Manager. I figured I'd have to reinstall java, so I installed sun-java6-jre (after noticing that there wasn't a current version of java installed).
I'm using:
Ubuntu 8.10
sun-java6-jre:
Installed: 6-10-0ubuntu2
Candidate: 6-10-0ubuntu2
sun-java6-bin:
Installed: 6-10-0ubuntu2
Candidate: 6-10-0ubuntu2
firefox:
Installed: 3.0.6+nobinonly
Candidate: 3.0.6+nobinonly
sun-java6-bin:
Installed: 6-10-0ubuntu2
Candidate: 6-10-0ubuntu2
I hoped that firefox would work properly now, bu after installing the sun-java6-jre and bin, I got errors, telling me that the packages failed to install, neither did firefox start working properly again. Halp?
Greetings,
Martin :)
