sudo still askes for a password even though I'm in the sudo group

Bug Description
Binary package hint: sudo
Even though I added myself to the group sudo and checked that it was successful (groups command shows me being in the sudo group) I am still asked for a password whenever I use sudo.
Only seems to be occuring in gutsy not in any previous releases.
