Bug Description
If libva2:i386 is installed on the system (therefore used by Steam) but libva-x11-2:i386 is not (therefore Steam uses the copy from the Steam Runtime), then version skew between these components can cause steamui.so to fail to load. See https:/
Please merge the changes from steam_1:1.0.0.74-2 in Debian, which adds a dependency on libva-x11-2:i386 to avoid this failure mode. This particularly affects Ubuntu kinetic and Debian testing/unstable (with libva2 >= 2.15).
The other dependency changes from 1:1.0.0.74-2 (pulling in libcrypt1, libfontconfig1, libnm0) would also make Steam more robust.
