Bug Description

the current version of SRT is 1.5.1 and contains bug fixes and enhanced functionality. The version available in jammy is currently 1.4.4 which is over 1 year old.

Looks like 1.5.1 has been packaged and synced from Debian, and is currently in lunar-proposed (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/srt/1.5.1-1)

Packages in stable releases like 22.04 are normally not changed, except security or other critical issues. However, you can request a backport of a package version from a newer Ubuntu release https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuBackports
