Bug Description
Binary package hint: synaptic
I don't know what's happening, it worked good on clean Dapper, but after all of these updates, it's not working well.
Here's what happens:
I open the repositories and click "Add cdrom"
"Please insert a disc...." appears. If Ubuntu CD was in the drive before that dialogue window, Synaptic would unmount it and after pressing the "OK", it would say "Error scaning the CD" (note that "SCANING", it's without a double N - a typical spell error, looks ugly, but it's a minor issue here). Quite strange - why did it unmount at all?!
However if I put the cd AFTER "Please insert a disc", it will scan normally and unmount it in the end. After clicking "close" button, the CD will appear in the repositories. However, from now on I cannot close the Synaptic - if I do that, it will freeze.
After I restart the system, the repositories will NOT have the CD in the list.
