Bug Description

As of GNOME 3.8 in Saucy, the gnome icons themes ('gnome', symbolic, and HighContrast) provide star icons. If Software Center would use these theme icons, it would provide more consistency with other apps that use starred rankings and should simplify the code (softwarecenter/ui/gtk3/widgets/stars.py).

The icon names are
starred
semi-starred
semi-starred-rtl
non-starred

(Although we may need to backport the semi-starred icons for the 'gnome' theme since those are missing: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/689098)

I'm adding a ubuntu-themes task to this bug as you may want to move the existing star icons from softwarecenter/ui/qml/ to that package.

After checking with a few people and getting support for these actions:

For the bug as is against the Ubuntu packages, I'm setting this as "Wishlist" importance, and setting all the statuses for this bug to "Triaged" because of normal feature request guidelines.

For the bug in the two upstream projects, I am resetting their statuses to "new".

Still the case in 14.04: the USC star icons are different from the standard ones seen in Rhythmbox (for example), but the standard ones are too nasty to use.
