Bug Description

The provided application icon does not look nice when scaled to a larger size, for example in the application switcher

Hi, a new skype version 4.1.0.20.0-0ubuntu0.12.04.2 is available, could you please try if you still have the bug with the new version?

If you still have this problem please set the status back to "new".

This bug is possibly fixed in Skype v.4.2: "Improvement New sizes for the Skype icon". The packaging status of the new release is tracked in bug 1182277.

I checked that the above mentioned improvement is only for files from Skype (in /usr/share/skype/avatars), which are in 96 x 96 , but the Skype icon (in /usr/share/pixmaps, provided by Canonical?) shown in the launcher still uses 48 x 48.
