Skype doesn't integrate into the message indicator like other IM/Chat/Voip applications

Please note that there is a PPA with a Skype wrapper providing quite good Messaging menu integration, including notify OSD for messages, unread messages count/contact in the messaging menu, setting status from the messaging menu, so it might be a good candidate for inclusion in ubuntu, it just needs to get into the official repositories and get installed together with skype (https://launchpad.net/~skype-wrapper)

Hi, a new skype version 4.1.0.20.0-0ubuntu0.12.04.2 is available, could you please try if you still have the bug with the new version?

If you still have this problem please set the status back to "new".
